Golf Rule Changes for 2019
Here's a useful video covering all of the major rule changes that apply from 1st January 2019
James Freeman - PGA Coach at Retford Golf Club
James is the PGA Professional Coach at Retford Golf Club and we are very proud of the success he is experiencing this year.
During 2018 James entered the PGA Europrotour in April and qualified in 9th position from over 1,000 golfers through the UK and Ireland. Having his PGA degree meant that he could play in both sets of events.
On the PGA Europrotour James has played 12 out of the 15 events and made every halfway cut. His best finish is a 10th position at Longhirst Hall near Newcastle. He has been under par in virtually every round of golf this season. James has qualified for the PGA Europrotour Championships at Desert Springs in October.
He also sits at the top of the PGA English rankings having had a 2nd and a 3rd in the two PGA flagship events at Saunton, Devon and Little Aston, Midlands with a combined total of -25 (under par).
James is also the back to back winner of the Nottinghamshire Order of Merit 2017 & 2018, quite an achievement!
Recently just Qualified for the European Tour 2nd stage at Frilford Heath, Oxford, James finished in 6th position from 134 players from all over the world. The next round is in Spain in early November.
We wish James every success and will enjoy following his progress.
