Foreword From The 2026 Captains

As we begin a new season at Retford Golf Club, we would like to extend a warm welcome to all members, guests, and visitors. It is an honour to serve as your Captain and Lady Captain, and we look forward to a year filled with enjoyable golf, friendship, and club spirit.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to the Captains who have served before us. Each has helped shape the strength, character, and camaraderie that make Retford such a special club.

We offer heartfelt thanks to Mark and Lynda, our 2025 Captains, for their leadership, dedication, and the time and energy they gave to the club.
Of course, none of this will be possible without the great support of our Vice-Captain, Roy Corringham, along with the office, pro shop, clubhouse team, and our dedicated greens staff, whose hard work keeps the club running smoothly and the course in excellent condition.

We hope that you will again take part in our club competitions and opens, bring along your friends, and enjoy the many social events we have planned. Keep an eye open for our AmAms, social events, and our Charity Day on Saturday 4th July 2026.

This year, we are proud to support Aurora Wellbeing as our chosen charity. They offer gentle, caring support to people in Bassetlaw and Doncaster living with cancer or long-term health conditions, and we hope our club community will join us in supporting their important work.

We hope this season brings you great golf, laughter, and many memorable moments with friends old and new. May you enjoy the challenges of the course, the camaraderie of fellow members, and the pleasure of sharing in all that makes Retford Golf Club such a special place.
