Retford's Unusually Dry Climate

Retford enjoys a relatively dry micro-climate within the Yorkshire and East Midlands area, sheltered as it is by the Pennines, thirty or so miles to the west.

In a typical year, this helps us to keep the course open and playable for 360+ days. Indeed, during the past five years, the course has only been closed for the whole day on a dozen or so occasions.
